A series of Play-readings at the theatre
WEDNESDAYS
Do you like reading plays but feel that you don’t get the full meaning and atmosphere of the text doing it on your own?
You do?- then come and enjoy our 2009 series of play readings on four Wednesdays over the next few months, dates below, here at the theatre, in a friendly and non-competitive way. No terrifying auditions, just the opportunity to enjoy the company of others and see how a production evolves. Absolutely no previous experience necessary. You will get the chance to read all kinds of characters without having to worry about forgetting lines or ‘drying up’!
Run by Siobhan O’Gara, an experienced director these will consist of various genres, a different one at each session. We propose to select a classic, a well-known comedy, a modern Australian play and a locally written play. Suggestions for plays will be warmly welcomed.
The evening will commence at 6.30 pm with light refreshments and the play-reading will commence at 7.30 pm. There is no charge for anything.
DATES: Wednesdays May 20th, July 15th, October 7,th and
November 4th, from 6.30 pm
