I've been interested in the reaction to my recent piece of frivolity and nonsense ala, 'Devil's Advocate and Walter Plunger.' Here's me thinking my crazed post would hi-light what this site is all about, and that it should (in part) be used to promote our shows, and celebrate our victories. The various posts on Romeo and Juliet being examples of this. I was touched to read the thoughts of actors who took part in that production, and by the fact they told us what a wonderful experience they had. Let's face it guys! We can't afford to spend lavish amounts on press ads and the like, like those professional geezers do! Fact is, we have to take every free opportunity to do so! Our community of theatre's put on wonderful productions, and yes we should be shouting this from every street corner and avenue with no apology. If you've had a great time in any production then get on here and tell everyone so! A big show that played in town recently raved about it's own hilarity, on a daily basis, and did anyone question that? Did anyone call the guy a tosser? As it turned out the show wasn't as good as a number of local theatre productions I've seen, but that may be because I don't have an appreciation of cricket. I say, if you have show to promote, then damn well do so! God knows we spend enough hours getting the thing up there on those stages! We want the people to get down and boogie! I think that's all I have to say..it's several hours past my bedtime. I've just got home from rehearsals ,and after putting the books down for the first time, our bunch of highlanders will be totally honest and say that we wouldn't ask you to spend your money in these economic times, but in 4 weeks time...damn right we will be... as we all know, it's damn hard work at times, and you question your own sanity (mine answers back) but when you build something from nothing, the satisfaction oozes from the pores...I'll shut up noo... Johnny Grim A lad in sane with a production of sorts that's getting better and better...........

BANNOCKBURN

I can't wait for this production to be on. I'm actually very close to someone who's in it and from what they've told me it's hilarious, especially the lunatic brothers Ewan and Logan. FEED THEM - MUSHROOMS  shaztom
