Hi everyone In September this year I will be auditioning for a cast to perform Frank Vickery's 'A Night On The Tiles'. Frank is a Welsh writer writing about Welsh families and situations. The performances will be at 'Old Mill Theatre' from 19th Nov through to 5th December for 10 performances. I am looking for...... 1 one young girl 18 to 25 yrs. 2 young boys 18 to 25 yrs. 2 mature females, one as mother of the boys and one as their next door neighbour(Both women nosy gossip mongers) 2 mature males, one as father of the boys and one as grand father. (Both fantastic cameo character roles) Because of the writing and humour of the play, I feel it can only be done using Welsh accents therefore all actors must present with convincing Welsh accents. ( Enough to convince a welsh speaking director). I am putting this out early so that the word may get around to all potential auditioners. For more detail you can call me on 0410274299. "A Night On The Tiles" is a perceptive, entertaining and highly comical play from the author of " One O Clock From The House". Gareth and Shirley's wedding day does not get off to an auspicious start. Gareth, egged on by his cocky, good-looking brother Kenneth, has a post-stag-night hangover so bad that he can barely speak, the bride is three months pregnant and Grandad, confused after getting stuck in the outside loo, is unsure whether Shirley is marrying Gareth or Kenneth. Things do not improve after the wedding when Gareth hears his bride getting rather intimate with Kenneth (apparently not for the first time). Over the next few months relations become somewhat strained between Gareth, Shirley and Kenneth until, on the night the Baby is born, Kenneth overhears somthing which will shatter his life!
