Bushfire Benefit Concerts
Sun, 15 Feb 2009, 08:29 amThe Diamond Valley Singers will conduct three concerts to aid the bushfire victims following the devastating fires in Victoria.
The concerts will feature many well-known songs from the World of musical theatre and will also include several operatic arias. Singers who have performed in some of the DVS productions over past years, along with singers from the Diamond Valley Bendigo Bank Vocal Eisteddfods have offered their talents to assist the cause.
The concerts details are:
*Friday February 20th, 8:00pm, Diamond Creek Uniting Church, cnr Wensley St and Main Hurstbridge Road, Diamond Creek
*Saturday February 21st, 8:00pm, Warrandyte Mechanics Institute Hall, cnr Yarra and Mitchell Sts Warrandyte
Admittance is by donation to Red Cross - all proceeds going to Red Cross
A third concert will be held in Geelong on Sunday February 22nd, 2:30pm at the Western Heights Uniting Church, Douglass St, Herne Hill, Geelong (Tel: 5229 9243) with profits going to the Uniting Church Share Appeal.
