I've just spent an hour tonight browsing an open-air gallery of stunning photographs from the 'Earth From Above' exhibition (earthfromabove.com.au), currently in the Perth Cultural Centre (James St mall, between the WA Museum, the Art Gallery, and PICA). Amazing photos (about 150 of them) blown up to gigantic prints, taken from helicoptor of locations around the world. Each photo is juxtaposed with interesting information on the theme of global sustainability, conserving resources, recycling, and managing our planet. While it's an obviously political message, don't let that put you off, as it's really interesting and well conceived. And it's free! It's open to view at all hours, as it's under lights. A nice way to spend one of these balmy evenings. The exhibition will be in place until mid January, I believe. But I'd suggest you come and see it sometime in the next three weeks, as it's conveniently only 50m from the Blue Room Theatre, where you can catch Apocalypse Perth at 6.30...! Cheers, Craig
