ITA's Programme & Poster Print Award
Sat, 18 Oct 2008, 09:05 amThe ITA announced earlier this year that it was including a new award at this years Finleys (note it's not a Finley Award) to encourage production and design of good quality Posters & Programmes in WA's Community Theatres.
This Award is worth $500* to the winning theatre/show and all you have to do to enter is send a copy of your poster or programme to ITA Poster Competition, Lotteries House, 2 Delhi Street, West Perth WA 6005.
Do it NOW, you have nothing to lose and could end up with $500 of free printing.
Have a look under ITA Forms for a leaflet about this Award.
*This Award is sponsored by Docuprint Fremantle (www.docuprint.com.au) and is for $500 (note this is not convertable to cash, it is in the form of a voucher) to be spent with Docuprint on promotional material for a theatre or show. The judging panel for this award is made up of Graphic Designers and an ITA Committee member.
I cannot see why they should
Sun, 19 Oct 2008, 08:27 pmWhilst I understand Norma's point and it's a very valid one, the idea was to encourage a higher standard of print publicity and programmes. So often it costs very little more to produce a programme that looks exciting and 'professional', take Grads new production, A Laughing Matter, that poster costs the same to print as any other colour poster, it's in the design which in this case is very good.
I only mention this poster because I noticed it at Playlovers on Saturday, not for any other reason (to my knowledge they haven't entered it anyway).
