For the world to lose somebody at an age as young as nineteen is always a tragedy; and when the person is someone as beautiful, talented and loaded with potential as Kiah French, who sadly passed way on Wednesday, it becomes all the more difficult to bear. Kiah’s passing is not just a blow to her family and friends, but to the performing arts community, which has been robbed of a bright rising star. One could not ask for a person to be sweeter, more caring or compassionate than Kiah was. She was a devoted friend and a passionate performer. For those of us who were lucky enough to share the ‘Cert 06’ WAAPA experience with Kiah, and also those who have been privileged to work and perform alongside her, I know that her spirit will live on in all we do and accomplish. Any triumph of ours shall be hers also, and through our thoughts and memories we can ensure Kiah achieves the success to which she was entitled in life. Kiah - you were taken too soon but you will always be a part of us. We all love you and we will never forget you. May our thoughts and prayers be with Kiah's family at this tragic time.
