Wolf Lullaby, first staged in 1996 at the Griffin Theatre, was inspired by a newspaper article about a 13-year-old boy in a small town, who had murdered a 4-year-old. This powerful drama is a tale of innocence and brutality, love, darkness and what human beings – children, particularly – can be capable of. Wolf Lullaby explores the sources of violence and its legacy, asking difficult questions about responsibility, neglect, truth and lies.
