This is a friendly reminder to everybody who is planning to submit an application to the Ignite Independent Theatre Initiative that Applications close on Friday August 1 at 5 pm. That means your application must be hand delivered to Level 7, 573 Hay Street, Perth by 5 pm, or posted by 5 pm to PO Box 8349 Perth Business Centre WA 6849. Late applications will not be accepted. If you are a regional applicant this is particularly relevant, as it means you can go on developing your application until the closing date, and not have to worry about getting it to us by Friday 1 at 5 pm. Just make sure the post office postmark your application by no later than 5 pm, or it will not be eligible. If you have not already sent me a draft of your application to give you feedback on, I would highly recommend doing this. Remember, this is your funding program, and may not happen again for a while, so give yourself the best possible chance of success by exploiting my experience in application writing and panel assessment for all it is worth. I want your applications to be successful so you can get those much needed upgrades, equipment and skills development for your hard working community theatre groups. Elizabeth Spencer will be taking a days leave on Friday 25 July, but checking messages and emails and back in the office on Monday 28. Elizabeth Spencer will be available for face to face meetings next week, but don’t leave it until the last minute to contact me. Email your drafts to me or call me. It is what I am here for.
