LIMINAL ACTING INTENSIVE

Mary Sitarenos, unfolds the core practices of Liminal Theatre and Performance with the extraordinary heightened text of Ted Hughes’ adaptation of Seneca’s Oedipus. This work encounters the dimensions of time, space and text kinesthetically, with an emphasis on rhythmical, spatial and physical awareness. The work re-embeds the body in a moment-to-moment experience, engaging the corporeal imaginatively to encounter the world of the play. Mary will integrate practices to create an organic and reflexive approach for the participants to experience Liminal’s training methods, to have a deeper understanding of the work and a deeper understanding in applying it as a generative method. This workshop will focus on choral work and or with monologues.
