STAGE AND SCREEN ACADEMY A DIVISION OF SARAH FOUKAS FILMS Junior Theatre (Ages 5-9) A fun mix of drama games, stagecraft, group drama performance and musical theatre for younger children, giving them all of the necessary skills required to understand the basic requirements of working professionally in the entertainment industry, should they wish to do so. Musical Theatre (Ages 10-17) Students learn how to incorporate movement, basic dance, singing, voice projection and stage technique together to create entertaining performances of musical theatre. Acting for the Stage (Ages 10-17) This course incorporates theatre sports games, improvisation, monologue, group devised performance, script analysis, and stage craft, teaching students all of the fundamentals of performing on stage. Adults Drama (All ages over 18 years) Aspiring actors, mums and dads, people needing to gain confidence or public speaking skills for work, can all benefit from this fun, informative class. Students learn improvisation skills, script analysis and stage performance in a range of different styles. We also discuss specific acting methods and the differences between stage and screen performance. Acting for the Screen (Ages 10-17) Acting on camera requires a completely different approach than performing onstage. Students will learn about camera techniques, develop skills in researching and developing believable characters, and will perform in a great variety of styles and genres, performing in their own in-class short films, television commercials, filmed interviews and music videos. Advanced Screen Class (Ages 10-17) For students with a great deal of experience in front of the camera, this course is an extension of our Acting for the Screen class. Intensive study of acting methods, characterisation, and screenplay analysis are the basis of this course. Modeling (Ages 8-17) This exciting course is intended to build greater self confidence in the students as they learn how to best present themselves both on the catwalk and in photographic sessions. We accept standard or plus size models of all looks, shapes and sizes. Students will not only learn how to walk on a catwalk, how to best present the clothing that they are modeling, and how to pose properly for the camera, but will also gain excellent posture, grace and deportment skills, communication and spokesperson skills, and learn the ins and outs of the child and teen modeling profession. Term 3 commences from the week starting Monday, 28th July, 2008. For more information or to join one of these exciting classes, call Sarah on 0404 263 278 or email sarahfoukas@hotmail.com
