Committee For Perth Calls For People To Get Involved In Arts & Culture
Fri, 13 June 2008, 12:54 pmJust trolling through the DCA's Web Site and spotted this rather interesting article.
The Committee for Perth has called on the people of Western Australia to get involved in developing a new vision for arts and culture in our capital city.
Funded by a $100,000 Lotterywest grant, the Committee for Perth has established a taskforce of leaders within the arts and culture sector to guide the development of a long-term vision. The taskforce is establishing links with a variety of representatives from all sectors including government, business and the community, to help develop a forward looking vision that will put arts and culture on the map in Perth.
Anyone with an opinion and a good dose of enthusiasm is invited to attend a one-day workshop on Monday 23 June 2008 to discuss their ideas.
National Australia Bank Chairman Michael Chaney will open the workshop which is expected to attract more than 200 government, business and community representatives.
To participate in creating this new vision, people are encouraged to attend the workshop or complete a questionnaire which is available at www.surveyshare.com/survey/take/?sid=68986
Anyone interested in contributing their ideas to the long-term vision for arts and culture in Perth can register their interest in the workshop by calling (08) 9481 5699 or emailing angie.jones@committeeforperth.com.au
