Auditions will be Monday 28th April at 7.30pm. Mandurah Senior College PAC. Carleton Pl, Mandurah. ‘Sweet & Sour Vignettes’ Something to make you laugh, something to make you cry and something to make you think. Something for every taste. The Production is a collection of vignettes (short scenes) that I have taken from various collections and put together portraying relationships and their issues on love, hate, lust and power. The average vignette runs for approximately 10 minutes and some contain adult themes. The production can be done with as little as 6 people or as many as 28. You can do one vignette or multiple. This is perfect for performers who don’t have time to do a full production or those who want to focus on work shopping their skills as every role is a lead. Also this is great for first timers who have always wanted to tread the boards and maybe hadn’t had the time or maybe the confidence. I would prefer people to do more than one but if you can’t that is OK. Rehearsal schedules will be organised to not waste time. Depending on which one you are in, or, how many you are in, depends on your rehearsal time. Some people may only have to do Monday night, some may only have to do Thursday night and some may have to do both. Each scene is a separate piece so they don’t have to rehearse together or in a sequence. Be aware that the last three weeks (maybe two if all is going well) all will have to attend two rehearsals per week. These nights will be negotiated with all the cast. Basically, I have taken the best ones. Most are comedy but there are a few dramas that are very heart felt. The lists below are the ones that I want to put in. There are two that may not make it in to the production if I don’t get the people who want to be in them. I have alternate ones if this is the case. In the ‘Right Sensation’ a Drama. I need a female who can handle being touched on the boob outside of her clothes. It is not a lot but is vital to the story. The other is ‘Class Dismissed’ a Drama. This is a Gay scene. It is not physical but it is very emotional. So I need two guys who are willing to get very emotional. By the way there is no nudity in any of the scenes If you yourself are not interested in doing any of the vignettes in this production could you please pass on the info to others? Actually, even if you are interested, could you pass the info on please? It will help save on advertising.
