Have you often wished for the opportunity to be on stage in front of a live audience in one of Australia's largest theatres?
Or wished to be able to show your acting ability in drama or musical theatre to the world at large?
Then look no further, this is it.
Welcome to STORM THE STAGE.
If aged between 16 - 19 at any time during 2008 you then qualify to enter, and STORM THE STAGE is looking for you.
Apart from the opportunity of winning a top prize of $5,000 in each of the two categories, you will also get the opportunity to take part in a number of heats during which you will be given guidance from arts mentors and judges to hone your skills.
You will also make lasting friendships along the way and acquire a more intimate knowledge of stagecraft to enhance your cv by having taken part in this national event. Entry is now open to all who qualify.
Heats will be held in most Australian states.
Finals will take place tentatively at the Burswood Theatre, Perth, Western Australia, on 20 September 2008. Up to $10,000 will be awarded to winners in the Drama and Musical Theatre categories. All finalists will get Certificates of participation as well as an engraved medallion presented by the Perth Mint.
