Godspell opens TONIGHT - Good Friday 21st March at Garrick Theatre.

Be the first at Garrick to see one of the most successful musicals in history. Godspell presents a whimsical view of Jesus, who is dressed like a clown with a red nose, a red heart painted on his forehead, and a Superman shirt. His followers and disciples re-enact parables and scenes from Jesus' life with great energy.

Songs include "Prepare Ye", "Day By Day", and "Bless The Lord". Godspell opened off-Broadway in 1971 and then moved to glamorous Broadway itself in 1976. The original 1972 Australian cast included Colleen Hewitt and Collette Mann which helped launch their successful performing careers. At the same time the Australian Godspell soundtrack was produced by Perth born radio and television personality Johnny Young through Festival Records.

This rock musical, directed by Carolyn Latter is the first musical to hit Garrick's stage in four years... starring Luke Taaffe as Jesus and David Seman as Judas, along with an outstanding cast including Kristen Twynam-Perkins, Vicki Kirkman, David Gray, Naomi Brockwell, Leesa Crosby, Samantha Marrell, Alex Letchford, Jesse Fleay and Ashleigh Warner.  The live band includes Andrew Dobosz, Nicole Gray and Robert Woods.

Don't miss this incredible show... book your tickets through the Swan Valley and Eastern Region Visitors Centre 9379 9400 (open every day 9am to 4pm).  Yes they are open on Good Friday :-)
Godspell is suitable for all audiences and doors open tonight at 7.30pm.
