Heath Andrew Ledger - 1979 to 2008

We would all have heard by now that today Heath Ledger passed away.  Heath grew up in Western Australia, student of Guildford Grammar, discovered by Annie Murtagh-Monks and has had significant successes in Hollywood all at the age of 28.
I know there would be quite a lot of you out there who knew Heath, looked up to him, or admired his work. I thought I would start this thread so that if anyone has some memories to share, or wish to share their sorrow, can do so.

Surely he had success

Surely he had success before the age of 28?

Confirmation

One of the reasons I started this thread, that for years there have been 'reports' of Heath having performed in WA Amateur theatre, I have heard some reports of this theatre, that theatre etc... ie. Garrick, Stirling, etc. I would appreciate it if anyone able to confirm with their club archivist of any involvement Heath may have had in our WA Community Theatre, or maybe you or someone you know has been on stage with Heath ?? I thought it would be well worth trying to call for such information. (and if you are a stinger, stunger, bugger, bludger, whatever!! it will not be appreciated, have some respect please!) ps. I have since learnt that Annie Murtagh-Monks did not discover Heath Ledger, it was indeed WA agents from Frog. Or better still, his family and loved ones. Rest in Peace Heath. Melz

His high school principal

His high school principal said on the radio he got involved in drama at school and did lots of stuff there before he left.
