Stage and Screen: Courses for young performers ages 10 to 18
Thu, 10 Jan 2008, 09:13 amStage and Screen, in the Campbelltown CBD, is for young performers who want more out of their classes and who want to learn the performing arts from a professional. As we are attached to a working production business, we are able to give students a variety of opportunities throughout the year to attend auditions and to perform. Because we only run small classes, each student gets alot of attention and more opportunities. Click on the link (short version) or see below (full version) for a basic breakdown of courses for 2008. Classes begin in February. For more information, contact Sarah on 0404 263 278.
Acting For The Stage
This course incorporates monologue, group devised performance, script analysis, and stage craft, teaching students all of the fundamentals of performing on stage.
Musical Theatre
Students learn how to incorporate movement, basic dance, singing, voice projection and stage technique together to create entertaining performances of musical theatre.
Acting For The Screen
Acting on camera requires a completely different approach than performing onstage. Students will develop skills in researching and developing believable characters, and will perform in a great variety of styles and genres, performing in in-class short films, television commercials, filmed interviews and music videos.
Modeling
This exciting course is intended to build greater self confidence in the students as they learn how to best present themselves both on the catwalk and in photographic sessions. We accept standard or plus size models of all looks, shapes and sizes. Students will not only learn how to walk on a catwalk and how to best present the clothing that they are modeling, but will learn how to pose properly for the camera.
