Sun, 16 Dec 2007, 06:25 pmI am thinking of signing up with them. If you also know about how much they charge for stuff or anything or
personal experiences you have had or is having with them, it would greatly help. Thanks in advance!

If I find some info about
If I find some info about these companies, I'll post it, but in the meantime, (as mentioned in my reply to your other thread), check out the FAQ where there is an article about joining up with an agency and what to expect from them.
EDIT:
Found on Voom:

(From the above thread, I would take care to find out if they charge any upfront fees or if they take a % of your payments. If they charge upfront fees, DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM. This is an illegal practice in QLD, and is considered a dodgy practice by most professional actors)
Here's their ABN if you want to look them up via the business registry: 94106220240
Nothing else about them was found.
On PG's:

Please also do a search on this site for recommend agents from the Syd. area. They do exist.
(This is more aimed at other regulars of this site: Am I getting repetitive here... and why is it no one seems to use the search function?)

More info
If anyone else is looking at this and wanted more information, PG's agency has a $300 joining fee which includes the cost for photograph and sending them out. They also take 10% commission.

Be warned: check out the
Be warned: check out the other threads on dodgy agencies (ATM for instance). Some actors have complained that they have paid an upfront fee for photos and either never get them, or get crappy ones.
Be sure to find both current clients and unhappy customers (if they exist) and hear what other people have to say, before joining up.
Don't forget that you can also always find your own photographer; you don't have to use theirs.
Again, Labrug's FAQ on agents will inform you of what you should know about your rights etc.
Additionally, have you thought of joining MEAA, the actors' union? If you're planning on doing paid work, it's a good idea.
