Quality Acting

A director is only as good as his cast, and I was blessed with some fantastic talent. Come and see this wonderful ensemble group of performers carry out far from simple characters with ease. They make it look far too easy.

I'll take this opportunity (and no doubt many more to come) to thank all my cast and also anyone and everyone who has helped and supported me through the past few months (it seems like a year). That's a lot of 'ands'.

This is the 75th year of Garrick Theatre (as Mel mentioned) and this show sparked the idea of forming the club all those years ago. Mind you, we have a completely new cast, and director (I am certainly not older than 75!)

Come and see the show that was J M Barrie's first major successful full-length production before Peter Pan in 1901. It was also the play that inspired the world famous range of chocolates of the same name (which are no longer distributed in Oz - can you believe it?)

This play inspired so many people that in the small town of Merstham, Surrey, they even renamed a street 'Quality Street' in memory of two actors who met doing Quality Street, married and then moved to Merstham.

I may transcribe this into a speech later when I accept the accolades and awards ... oops. Imagination running away with me there....

Come anyway and have a great night at the theatre.

BIG NEWS BIG NEWS!!! Direct

BIG NEWS BIG NEWS!!! Direct from the chocolate shop Labrug- We have Quality Street in stock again this year- (very glad we do, the customers go nuts!) So there is a chance you could get your hands on some if you search around a bit. It's pretty expensive stuff though. We have small boxes going for $10.95 at the moment. So if you were still interested in getting your hands on some- it is available. However maybe it's too late Best wishes to the cast and crew for the performance, I'm sure it will be a performance of high quality Sean ____________________________________________________________ Currently working on: 'Locked In' a short play based on a real life experience For more details visit: www.freewebs.com/lazycreationsgroup

Bit late indeed

Actually we found two stores that order QS Chocs from overseas;

Sticky Fingers up in Mundaring and Best of British in the Floreat Forum. They both stock the large tins for about $40 each.

None-the-less, thanks for the offer. No point missing out on the opportunity to plug your store ;-)

Ah good glad you got some- Actually it was less of a plug than it could have been- we happened to get the product in, but have pretty much sold out too! We had the tins for something like two/three days, before the diehard quality street fans flooded in and snapped them all up! still glad you got some, best of luck for the season. ...oh and if anyone's looking chocolates :P (just kidding) Sean ____________________________________________________________ Currently working on: 'Locked In' a short play based on a real life experience For more details visit: www.freewebs.com/lazycreationsgroup
