Audition - Short Student film , Perth

Hi , we are student from FTI and having audition for our upcoming project. The audition will be held on Thursday 08 Nov It will be 4 day shoot: 10 Nov(Joash role) and 12-14 Nov Synopsis: Joash has returned home from a war that has affected him deeply. His parents are overjoyed at his unexpected return, yet he can’t reconnect with them. He sees things differently. He hears things differently. He thinks differently. Joash cannot differentiate between reality and his tormented subconscious, and in the end, he plays out the ultimate war horror on the ones he loves. Character Profiles: Joash mid 20. He’s spent the last 8 years wandering in the wilderness in a war-torn country. He has seen, and lived through, the horrors of war. He has been deeply affected by his experiences and continually relives the nightmare. Joash has returned home on auto-pilot, a withdrawn and haunted man. Jezebel late 40. Although a funeral was held for her son, she never stopped believing he’d one day return home. This optimism led her to maintain Joash’s room as a shrine, awaiting his homecoming. She has unconditional love for her son. Abner late 40. A practical and wise man, he accepted Joash’s death, believing he died an honourable death, fighting for his country. Although he’s overjoyed at his son’s unexpected return, he suspects there is something seriously amiss.
