The beautiful and talented Ronnie Vickers passed away last night peacefully with family at Royal Perth Hosptial at 7.30pm.

Ronnie's friends go far and wide throughout WA community theatre.  She will be deeply missed by all. Thankfully Ronnie is not suffering anymore. I can just picture her reciting one of her poems to all and sundry upstairs.
It is quite fitting that her last performance on stage was "It's My Party, and I'll Die If I Want To" at Garrick Theatre earlier this year. Gonna miss ya mum... xoxoxox

Feel free to post your memories and thoughts of Ronnie here.

Terrible news

That is terrible news to hear, my sincere condolences to her family. Ronnie played my wife 'Mrs Smith' in 'The Bald Prima Donna' at the Garrick Theatre exactly two years ago and it was, for us, a great show. She'll be sadly missed. Take a bow Mrs Smith.

See you Ronnie

It saddens me to hear of Ronnie's passing. She was such a warm, considerate person and her energetic performances always made me smile. She got into acting quite late in life, but she really loved it. I don't think anything would have stopped her following her passion, except her untimely death. I have a short film I directed a couple of years ago with Ronnie in it. I'd like to think of it as a kind of memento of such a wonderful person. Condolences to her family. Daniel.

We will miss you Ronnie

I was so saddened to hear the news. Ronnie was a wonderful woman and lovely actress. I know everyone always enjoyed working with her. She could brighten anyone's day and lit up the stage. She will be greatly missed. Katy.

I had the great pleasure to

I had the great pleasure to talk with Ronnie and also see her on stage. A loveable person, a believable actor in every part I saw her in, a comic and a lighthearted soul. Few like her sadly pass our way. Floody

Sayonara Sonia Snell

I only met Ronnie in January of this year. She became an important part of the intrepid 'Fully SYC' comedy cabaret team that unfortunately never got off the ground for various reasons. Nevertheless, her 'Young Albert down Under', 'Why Am I Always a Bridesmaid' and 'The Cattle Dog's Revenge' were legendary, as was her 'Sad Saga of Sonia Snell'. It is some comfort to know that I saw her in her last performance at Garrick and almost died laughing. I became aware shortly afterwards that she was seriously ill and it makes me wonder how long she had been spending her time making others laugh while knowing that she had so little of it left. Ms Vickers, we of MacDougall's Piper's Flat Cricket Team salute you. Ssstinger>>>
