help again???
Mon, 17 Sept 2007, 10:08 amI am in the midst of research so I can pitch an acting class idea! Just wondering where I can find some info on insurance/legalities? Website4s??? Information, greatly appreciated???
Also, I have an understanding that formal training is needed to teach an acting class... is anyone aware if there are any specific training fields required and if so, what they are??? Thankl again guys.
Oh and I didn't get many reponses to monologues??? What are some favourite female 1-2 min monologues from contemporary plays (great plays)???
Generally to teach acting
Mon, 17 Sept 2007, 10:26 amGenerally to teach acting classes you need public liability and a police check. I don't know where you can get PL, but try John Paxinos or Community Insurance.com. You should probably also have some first aid training.
You don't necessarily need formal training to teach classes, unless you are going for a job with a school. If you're setting up your own class, then I would chat with someone who runs an acting teaching school for some advice.
