Casting Call - Voluntary Student Short Film (Melb)

Actors wanted for third year university film: "Nick" male, mid 20’s Slightly scruffy appearance, introvert, paranoid, socially awkward, troubled, must have excellent expressive skills. "Tom" male, late 20’s -30’s Very neat, clean cut, witty, eccentric, captivating, disturbing, vocal skills very important. "Madeline" female, late 20’s No spoken dialogue, voice-over only, attractive but disheveled, deranged, stares with vacant expression. Very important role. Synopsis: This is a dark film exploring the boundaries of reality and imagination. Nick awakes to find himself in an obscure location. He is confronted by Madeline, a deranged woman who doesn’t speak, a strange small box and an enigmatic man who talks in riddles. He is told all the answers lie within the box. Nick tries to make sense of the situation and the bizarre events that follow, all the while trying to decide whether or not he should open the box.
