IN LOVE WITH VERONICA is the working title of a sassy and sophisticated new romantic comedy
being produced in Melbourne in 2007/08.
This is a feature film project currently casting for an ASIAN FEMALE lead (20-35 age range) -
Auditions will be taking place throughout August/September 2007. Please note the following important information
BEFORE applying to audition:
1) This project is an independent feature being produced with world class creative and
technical resources. At this stage, however, the budget does not extend to covering full
remuneration. Costs and/or deferred payment contracts may be considered by the producers upon
final casting.
2) Filming is scheduled for late 2007/early 2008 (26/12/07 – 09/01/0 - A casting commitment
will be required for all or any dates inclusive of this period.
3) Rehearsals are scheduled for November/December (evenings/weekends only)
4) Auditions are scheduled for August/September in Melb. No script/treatment information will
be made available until subsequent round(s) of the audition process. The first round of
auditions will include performing a 30 second prepared monologue of your choice and group
improvisation.

Why in the world would you
Wed, 15 Aug 2007, 12:43 pmWhy in the world would you want to audition people without letting them know the plot and/or the character they would be required to play? Surely the auditionee would need to know what best to present during their audition - ie. presenting a musical number helps when auditioning for a musical, but it may not be appropriate for a non-naturalistic dance performance...
