New Company FLAMING LOCOMOTIVE presents The Good Thief

New Perth company FLAMING LOCOMOTIVE presents the Australian premiere of The Good Thief by acclaimed Irish playwright Conor MacPherson (The Weir, Shining City, St Nicholas).

Sent on a routine job, a hapless Dublin hard man finds himself caught between two crime bosses, and against his own intentions becomes a fugitive for kidnapping and murder. Add to this the dilemma of what to do with his newly acquired hostages – the wife and daughter of the man he was sent to deal with.

The Good Thief features Perth actor Allan Girod, seen in Red Ryder/Perth Theatre Company’s 2006 hit production of Dealer’s Choice, and Maj Monologues 2007. Girod played Andrew Mallard in the documentary Saving Andrew Mallard and featured in Air Australia, both for ABC TV. Allan can currently be seen in the TV series Lockie Leonard on Channel 9.

Director is NIDA graduate Michael McCall.
