Quality Street Auditions
Mon, 2 July 2007, 01:34 pmA charming comedy set during the Napoleonic wars of 1815.
In a time where ladies became "Old Maids" in their late twenties, the search for love was every woman's top concern. Hard as it was, it did not need the interruptions of the Napoleonic Wars to further hinder the pursuit of happy marriages. Miss Pheobe however does not let this stop her as she endeavours to recreate herself in the hopes of winning the man of her dreams. So why do these things never quite go to plan?
It's a large cast with plenty of roles for young and old.
Auditions - 4/5 August. Advance Reading - 28th July.

Agreed
Anectodal
According to history, the creator of the Chocolates was inspired by the play itself. Supposedly he said that they all had one thing in common, Soft Centres.
In fact, the iconic figures usually displayed on a Quality Street Tin are the meant to be the two lead characters in the play - A Man in 1815 British Military Uniform (Captain Brown) and an 1815 Lady (Miss Pheobe).

Really?
Everytime I see that title,
Attempted
Tried to look into that option, however, Nestle do not distribute the Chocolates in Australia any more. They are currently found in Europe, but not here.

Quick Question...
The age old cry rears its head yet again - Where are the men?
