I have already posted this in the 'Productions' section for September, but I'm not too sure how many people have actually read it so here it is again!'

This years DRAMAFEST wil be held at Garrick Theatre, with thanks to Ailsa Travers and Committee.

The Adjudicator is Bill Mc Cluskey and dates are September 27 to October 1

Expressions of Interest forms have been sent to all member clubs and a gold star to Roleystone for their very prompt return of the form!

YOUTHFEST is to be held at Roleystone Theatre, with many thanks to Zyg Woltersdorf and Committee

The Adjudicator is Craig Williams and the date is SATURDAY September 15th, with a possible overflow to Sunday in the event of a lot of entries!

A gold star to Stirling SPY for having already returned their form!

There will be a brand new award for local creative writing, donated by Robert Whyte and the ITA in honour of Beryl Silvester and named after her. so come on all you local writers. I have heard of two so far!

Closing date for entries

I understand that expressions of interest should be in ASAP - but when is the closing date for the actual plays? The theatre group I'm involved with are currently discussing what we'd like to do for DramaFest, but the closing date for entries may determine what we put on.

Closing Date for Entries

We ask for an initial'expression of interest' so that we know how many kits to prepare and also so that we have some idea as to how many entries we are likely to receive. The actual entries need to be in at least 6 weeks before the Festival dates, this is to allow for;

1. People changing their minds

2. Deciding on the programme, getting the scripts to the adjudicator and giving him/her time to read them, preparing the written programme etc, etc

3. Accomodating entries who suddenly drealise that one or more of their casts is getting married/divorced/going on holiday/being sent away on work and the myriad of other things which happen when trying to organise a Festival!!

To give you a straight answer, we want the actual entries in By last post on AUGUST 17th please.
