Hello Everyone (I am posting this on behalf of the MS Society who are trying to find some males to audition for OLIVER! ) I am pleased to announce the 2007 MS Society musical theatre production will be Oliver! This is a West Australian production. Director: John Milson Music Director: Daniel Masmanian Auditions: Subiaco Community Centre (Main Hall) May 19/20 (Children 9 and over - Sunday 20th May) Expressions of interest carolyn.cutri@multiple-wa.asn.au or you may phone Carolyn on 93654849 Season: 11 performances plus 1 preview of Oliver! October 10th -21st, 2007 at the Regal Theatre, Subiaco Audition Details Auditionees need to allow 10 minutes to complete registration details and be available ready to audition 15 minutes prior to their allocated time. Major Solo Role: Major solo role auditionees are required to perform TWO songs, each approximately 3 minutes duration, of a CONTRASTING nature. Eg: one lyrical / ballad and one up-tempo number; or one serious song and one comedy song. Chorus role: Chorus auditionees are required to sing ONE song of approximately 3 minutes duration. Important information for ALL auditionees: • Minimum age for auditionees is 18 (adults) and 9 (boys) • Recalls for short-listed people will probably be held on Sunday May 27 • All auditionees need to be available for recalls. If you are not available on May 27th please let Carolyn Curti know on carolyn.cutri@multiple-wa.asn.au or call her on 93654849 • ALL songs should: - Be sung from memory - Be from a show, not a pop ballad - Be sung in English - Be sung to live piano accompaniment - NOT to cassettes & CD’s. We will provide an accompanist, or auditionees can bring their own accompanist. - Please bring 2 copies of the sheet music – one for the accompanist, one for the Audition Panel. - Songs can be from Oliver!, but it’s not essential. Any musical or operetta will do. - Movement / Dance can be involved but is not essential.
