The winning Musical Theatre grand finalist will be given a PRIVATE AUDITION FOR KOOKABURRA, AUSTRALIA'S NATIONAL MUSIC THEATRE COMPANY. ( www.kookaburra.org.au) Kookaburra's states " Our goal is to be a world leading producer, developer and advocate of musical theatre and to affirm musical theatre's central role in the cultural and social life of Australia." Their production of "Pippin"is currently playing and "Company"and "Floyd Collins"will be in production throughout this year. Kookaburra's artistic producer, Mr Peter Ross has confirmed that he will be giving a private audition. Star Power will fly the winner to Sydney and they will have a private audition in front of the Kookaburra artistic panel and the hope is that while they are there Peter will organise some private workshops with the Kookaburra directors etc. I am also delighted to confirm that we have two additional judges for the Grand Final. Mr Peter Ross from Kookaburra and Mr John Milson . John Milson is a highly respected theatre and musical theatre director in Australia and we are honoured to have him supporting us in this venture. Peter Ross has also stated that as he will be seeing all of the Grand Finalists in action, he will be remembering them for future use. This is excellent as it is Kookaburra's aim to be touring nationally next year and to be using people from the state they are in.
