STAR POWER
Tue, 24 Apr 2007, 08:11 pm Hi everyone
Just wanted to let you know that hopefully , in the next week or so , STAR POWER will be able to announce one , two or possibly three fantastic new opportunities for the contestants of this brand new competition/ challenge.
One thing that people need to understand is that although the grand finalists will be given the chance to perform at His Majesty's theatre and be seen by the best in the business in stage, screen and television, they will not be the only people who will benefit.
Every person who enters the competition will be given individual feedback on their audition piece by our artistic director and the other judges. The top 100 who will be given fantastic workshops in characterisation, ensemble work , movement, song etc AND they will be watched by many of our local casting agents.
Don't miss out on this wonderful NEW concept. Entries close June 12th.

It seems everyone involved

It seems everyone involved with Star Power is avoiding questions about Storm The Stage and it begs the question: why? Why did this high-profile competition suddenly disappear? Did a financial backer pull out? Was it poorly organised? Was their controversy last year? They're both competitions about young talent and, while the set-up is different this year, they are similar in style and it would appear to a casual reader that Star Power has replaced Storm the Stage. Ignoring the questions won't make them go away.
