TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD - Three superb child actors sought !
Thu, 16 Nov 2006, 07:53 amTo Kill A Mockingbird the much loved novel by Harper Lee, has been adapted for stage by Christopher Sergei.
Scout is a child whose views on society, equality and fair play are coloured by her interactions and experiences in a small southern American town in the depression years. Age approx: 9-13
Her brother Jem is slightly older, wiser and a little world weary, having such a ‘dull’ father and demanding younger sister in a ‘slow’ country town.
Age approx: 9-13
Dill is the precocious friend who develops a knowledge and insight far in advance of his years.
Age approx:9-13
Together they live through an adventure which is one of the biggest incidents in their lives. It teaches them why it is wrong to ‘kill a mockingbird’.
Campbelltown Theatre Group are holding an orientation evening and auditions for the main roles of the three children featured in the story-Scout, her brother Jem and friend Dill and Atticus, their Father.
Orientation Evening: November 28th at 7.30 pm at the Campbelltown Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown.
Audition for the roles of Scout, Jem, Dill and Atticus:
Saturday Dec 2nd from 10am sharp at the same address
This is an amateur production, roles are unpaid. The production will start rehearsal in Feb 2007 for August opening.

Now is your chance.
The stage role of Atticus is a complex one, involving justice, equality,
humility and sensitivity, all the qualities reflected in this play
adapted from Harper Lee’s book. Approx age: late 30s -40s- or can play
these ages.
