“No Love Lost” Synopsis: After a three year stint playing opposite each other in a successful, major production of Romeo and Juliet, Anthony and Jane get married and take a break. But suddenly the passion from their relationship is gone. In a bid to rekindle what they once had, they see a psychologist and trace over their recent years together, but the finding are not what they first thought. They discover their relationship is just an extension of their characters in the play, which leaves them searching for their own identities. This is an exciting, original project by second-year Curtin film students. It is a moving, poignant but ultimately rewarding story about who we are to ourselves and who we are to others. Actors will have the chance to work with a skilled, efficient and passionate crew in a challenging role. Characters: Jane (female, 20-35) Jane is a professional method actor and the wife of Anthony. She has been playing Juliet for three years. She is passionate about acting and her career. Often she knows exactly what she wants. But when her marriage breaks down she struggles to understand why. To a certain extent she is a fragile character who requires affection. Being an actor she has all her emotions at a peak. Anthony (male, 20-35) Anthony is also a passionate actor and is married to Jane. He has been playing Romeo for three years. Anthony has good, sincere intentions and is proud of his relationship with Jane. When it ruptures he tries all he can to make things work. He cannot understand what has happened to the Jane, the girl he fell in love with, but wants her to be healthy and happy, and for their passion to return. Psychologist (male or female, 20-60yrs) The Psychologist is a smart, insightful character with the ability to break down Anthony and Jane’s relationship in a bid to understand them. He/she does this by examining their past and how they feel about each other. We will be filming within the next three weeks and will probably require the actors for at least 4 shooting days (catering provided) and at least one day to rehearse- we will schedule shoots around actors’ availability. Auditions will be held this weekend (7th and 8th of October) at Curtin University. If this is not a good for you, we are able to work out another time. To schedule an audition please contact Whitney Richards (producer) via email whitneylives@hotmail.com or mobile on 04099117766
