Experience performances from the 16-19 year old student finalists in drama and musical theatre expressed by our youth from around Australia
Exploring feelings, passions and pushing out the boundaries

Prizes: $5000 - Best Drama Performance $5000 - Best Musical Theatre Performance Audition: One person selected to audition for Home and Away and All Saints - Channel 7
Storm The Stage (“Storm”) 2006 was launched as a national competition on 2 August at the Burswood Entertainment complex and will showcase drama and musical theatre performances from 16-19 year old contestants from Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australian and of course Western Australia.
Twenty drama and musical theatre monologue performances will be supported by esteemed performances by operatic and jazz companies. WOW !! It will be a great evening!!
Heats have been convened by Rotary Clubs around Australia and with expertise from Amateur Theatre and Judges from the Independent Theatre Association. Deep appreciation is extended to adjudicators. Great Effort !!
State Semi Finals are currently underway with 9 contestants from WA who will go through to the Grand Final. Storm the Stage is a Rotary Club of Cannington and Rotary tri District (WA) initiative which now involves Rotary Clubs around Australia. The Rotary Club of Cannington is the major sponsor for the ITA Finley Awards.
But importantly Storm the Stage is about providing opportunities to young people to explore their talents in drama and musical theatre. The Storm committee is very keen to nurture strong relationships with the Independent Theatre Association and amateur theatre groups. Please support youth drama and musical theatre by coming along to the Grand Final.

This year’s judging panel is comprised of prominent Australian theatre and television identities, Ms Jill Perryman, Mr Austin Bond, Mr Tom Gutteridge and Mr Bevan Lee. The Storm the Stage initiative has the strong support from world renowned Australian actor and Storm the Stage patron Mr Hugh Jackman and would not be possible without the continued support from our sponsors.
