Is it the lack of advertising or competition for our attention from so many other areas?
Or is it the brevity of seasons? Are we lacking staying power?
I can't comment on the productions themselves (sigh again!), but it's my impression that very few local shows are playing for more than three weeks.
Do we need to be ploughing more effort into advertising shows or is it that we're not allowing word of mouth to work its magic? How often have you heard stunning reports of a show and thought, "I must see that", only to discover it finished last week?
Is the problem that it is all over all too soon?
Cheers
