Freelance acting is pretty
Freelance acting is pretty much what 'acting' is. I don't know of any professional or unprofessional performer (or other artist for that matter) who doesn't work for various companies. This is the only way to work in an industry that fluctuates.
Just keep doing what you are doing - try and get as much experience as possible, talk to as many people as possible, by ready or willing to do roles or take on skills that you might not normally consider... Everybody is looking for work, and the only way to get it is to be informed, know the industry and the companies/individuals in your particular city, and be on the constant look-out for jobs.

freelance acting
I was searching yesterday on the web and found a site that may be of interest to you it looks like they help freelancers find an agent if they want one. But they also source out all the auditions around australia and classes I'm not sure if you join up or what happens but it may be of interest to you it was at www.dare2audition.com I think or may have been .com.au. good luck
