Be Wary Adelaide
Wed, 5 July 2006, 09:32 amI get really upset when I heard about fellow dancers who get taken for a ride by dance teachers.
Recently I have had a conversation with 2 friends from Adelaide who have been involved with a dance club in for many years. This dance club went from over 100 students to only 8 in 2005. For starters doesnt that tell you something.
My friends out of loyalty were going to return to this club this year but 2 days before class was to start in February they get a letter to say the school has closed. My friends have now found another dance school in Adelaide to go to.
However, now this teacher Linda has decided she want to start her dance school up again and is ringing all her past students and poaching them back. She rang my friends and wantes them to come back even though they are at another school. She reckons she wants to have a cheer leading team for the local Sturt football club. I just hate poaching. Anyhow she called a meeting for her new school and how funny ony 2 people came. A 20 year old and a 12 year old.
This teacher is now trying to poach dancers from other dance schools so be very wary. There is a major reason why she lost so many students .
I could not believe that this teacher went to a funeral which was attended by many dancers cos a very loyal, dedicated grandfather of one of her past students had died but she gave out her business cards at the service. Oh Please how disrespectful.
Please be wary any dancers in Adelaide, this is so unprofessional
Its the industry

However, I dont take too kindly to those who do it but more often than not they fall flat on their face.
What goes around comes around
