Urgent Help Please

Hi I'm performing in a play set in the 1950s, New York. My character is aged in his early 40s. I was wondering if anyone can help we with suggestions on what my character would be wearing, and how he would talk. Most importantly, the costume and props. I need an old-fashion wooden smoking pipe. As a publisher, my character wears intelligent clothes, but for this scene, something a bit casual. If anybody could please suggest where I can get hold of these prop/costume, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers Hope you can help
