A Son of Your Own tells the story of 24-year-old Brian Murphy and his parents, Lloyd and Erma – who, out of simple dislike, decide to put Brian up for adoption. Upon discovering that adoption is not an easy task, Brian’s parents begin a marketing campaign to sell their son, which inadvertently turns into an epidemic, as “Mature-Aged Adoption” becomes a nation-wide phenomenon. Just how influential can the right media be? The Latch Key Group think they know a thing or two about how to create publicity. Mock “Mature-Aged Adoption” protests and rallies will occur throughout the city and nearby Trades Hall during the Comedy Festival – and we need your help! We are doing Protests throughout the city, to help promote the show. Starting in Federation Square, protestors will follow Lloyd, Brian and Erma (in character including dresses) through Swanston and Bourke streets. We're planning on doing these on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and they should only go for an hour or so. Payment is not available, but we are willing to offer you lots of fun and treats!
