Actors Needed for 3rd year film
Wed, 5 Apr 2006, 07:43 pmSeeking two male actors (experience in screen acting preferred) for the pilot scene of a final-year tertiary drama production. The film is a black comedy/drama entitled ‘Welcome To Pipe Mountain.’
SYNOPSIS:
It is 2010. Nicholas, a young cancer sufferer, journeys into the forest at the foot of Pipe Mountain – a notorious suicide location, to take his own life. He stumbles upon a mute woman and a photographer who have been living in the forest for quite some time.
ROLES:
Nicholas – M, mid-20s; medical student from the city; cancer sufferer; seeks a poetic death.
The photographer – M, 35-55; initially a tourist/amateur photographer who became obsessed with documenting suicides in the forest; survives in the forest by scavenging off corpses.
DETAILS:
Shooting for the pilot is scheduled for Tuesday 25th April, in Dwellingup (1.5 hrs south of Perth). Cast and crew may be required to arrive in the afternoon of Monday 24th April or on the morning of the 25th.
Actors will be unpaid but we will cover for travel expenses, catering and accommodation if required. The pilot will be shot on 16mm film. Selection for the pilot does not guarantee a role in the final film.
Auditions will be held on Wednesday 12th April and Thursday 13th April at Curtin University (Kent St., Bentley WA, 6102) between 5.00pm-9.00pm.
