Audition for voice of Audrey II
Wed, 5 Apr 2006, 03:33 pmWere currently auditioning for the voice of Audrey II for the Heidelberg Theatre production of Little Shop of Horrors. The part requires strong vocal ability and a lot of character expression in dialogue and songs. “The sound is a cross between Otis Redding, Barry White, and Wolfman Jack. Think of The Voice as that of a street-smart, funky, conniving villain — Rhythm and Blues’ answer to Richard the Third. (low B-flat to high G)”. The sound we are looking for is very close to that of the 1986 film. The production will run from the 7th to the 16th of December 2006, doing 8 performances, 7 evening and 1 matinee.
