Uni Girl - Marks & Final Year

Kirilee

Wednesday 20 December 2006

I have just received my marks for my second semester of my second year. I did well, obtaining two credits, a distinction and a high distinction. I'm very happy by this as it now passed my average over to a distinction average rather than a borderline credit/distinction. So, it might come in handy to be able to get to do honours, that is if I can continue get the same type of marks and if I choose to do honours. But this also means that I can progress into my third and final year of university. Which also means I shall have to write, direct and perform my own solo show. I admit, I've already started my journal on it and writing a script. Shall keep you updated. However, I must also write a paper and give a presentation about some aspect of theatre. I'm not sure yet what to write about. I already know some are writing about mask work, mask and comedy work, puppetry and some other subjects which I'm a little in awe about. The truth is is that I'm interested in a number of aspects which I would love to explore, though I have no idea how it would fit because there is not one type of theatre that really grabs me. I'm wondering if I might look at Australia's theatre history and/ or the percentage of australian works being performed. But then I would love to focus on also large shows which are highly visual. And I do love puppetry and mask work. Delema? Slightly.
