Transverse Fracture of the First Metacarpal tears open two performer’s personal narratives of injury and stitches together a patchwork of scars, scrapes, cuts and breaks. In this searing contemporary performance work, battle-wounds become tattoos and x-rays become mementos. Darkly funny and discomforting, Transverse Fracture of the First Metacarpal is for anyone who has been punctured by injury – be it large or small – been rehabilitated and lived to relay all the dirty details.
