My Journey to the 2008 Festival Fringe Part 2
Thursday 1 November 2007
Well, there isn't much to report on the continuing journey. I had some problems sorting out my venue as the Manager and the Fringe had some communication problems. I am not blaming anybody. I similarly had some problems getting my season sorted, communications problems again. I am performing at 7.00pm which is a bit earlier than I wanted but otherwise I am very happy. My fees are paid and I have confirmed all the new details.
I can now start getting the poster finished and the leaflets designed. All of which is being done by a good friend of mine who logs on here as Jervas.
My auditions are on this Saturday and I am very happy with the number and quality of people who are auditioning.
I have had two great surprises this week, first my son has put me in contact with a young man who is interested in composing some original music to accompany the play which he may even be prepared to play live for us, second another good friend who is a very good actor has volunteered to fill one of the two silent roles in the play. Probably a vast underuse of his talent but a fantastic plus for me.
I will report further following my auditions.
