Questions to think about.
Saturday 29 June 2013
Today on Facebook I was asked three questions.
1/ If another company was doing the play you are doing now, would you go and see it?
2/ Would any of us go and see the play we are doing now or soon.
3/ If the answer to either of these questions is no, why should we ask people to go and see what we are doing?
My responses are simple.
1. Yes
2. I know I would but I have no idea about anyone else. If anyone else answers No then I would ask "Why are you doing it then if you wouldn't go and see it"
3/ I have no comment on question 3 as my answer to both questions was Yes.
There are some points raised here. Do we do plays we wouldn't go and see ourselves because we think an audience might like them?
Why do we do this? Is it simply to put bums on seats or do we have a commitment to what we do?
Any thoughts from anyone out there?
