Bwahaha - Australia's got desperate
Friday 21 September 2007
I just got an email through my website (the Sticky Apple Legs one) from someone at Australia's Got Talent. Apparently there aren't enough puppeteers auditioning, and would I come and be a part of it. It's basically a generic audition notice, with some words changed to fit my profile.
As much as I'd love to promote both my work and the art of puppetry... are you kidding me? I don't watch the show because I think it denigrates the hard work that performers put in without having 15 minutes on TV. I can't stand reality TV shows like this.
What's even funnier is that if they are so desperate for puppeteers, why didn't they contact someone who actually performs puppetry. I don't perform puppetry (anymore), I build it.
Still, if anyone wants to perform with my puppets on the show - contact me. I'll be happy to provide you with the puppet and the contact details for the audition. ;)
