Wednesday 25 July 2007
I have read in various WA papers of new theatre buildings, venues, programmes etc all aimed at enhancing Perth's cultural and artistic standing. Is this perths new shake-up that we have been hoping for?
For anyone who lives in Cockburn in WA please read the article on the front cover of "Cockburn Surroundings."
Here is the article and I thought it may be of interest to those in WA looking for a venue to perform, record etc in.
COCKBURN YOUTH CENTRE IS GOING FULL STEAM AHEAD

At the centre, youth will have the opportunity to pursue and showcase their skills and talents through a wide range of recreational activities and programmes.
The centre boasts a contemporary music recording space, a "jam room", large multipurpose hall with stage and full performance capabilities, IT rooms and a number of ther spaces

This is article is one of several I've spotted throughout the last week or so. . . .Am I hoping too much for the future of WA theatre and arts?
