The Road

I think I may have just seen the greatest film and the greatest acting I will ever see. And if you think I write of AVATAR, no. Oh yes, that is splendid and not to be missed entertainment, but this is truly a world away from 3D wow.
THE ROAD, (Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel), directed by Queensland born / Canadian-raised director John Hillcoat is almost beyond superlatives – adjectives seem trite. Viggo Mortensen is so believable, as he descends into both a physical and mental hell defending his son, I simply could not take my eyes off him, which is not to say less of the other actors – Kodi Smitt-Macphee as the boy is superb and Robert Duval turns a cameo role into a stunning morality lesson for all humanity.
There is nothing more to say, other than you cannot miss this film.
