“Battered from without, eroded from within, Jewish life was in a state of flux, disarray, decomposition.”

Based on a series of short stories by Ukrainian writer Sholem Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof is set in the town of Anatevka and tells the story of a milkman, Tevye, as he clings desperately to the old Jewish traditions while all around him the world changes. His three daughters marry men he considers more and more unacceptable and the ruling GovernmentÂ’s anti-semitism threatens to drive him from his home.

Documentary in style, our exciting version will incorporate a different approach to this much loved story of Tevye and his family. With great songs including “If I Were a Rich Man”, “Tradition”, “Sunrise, Sunset”, “Matchmaker” and many other favourites.

This will be a show not to be missed!
