Set in a charity home for retired actresses, this witty play explores the working life of those involved in theatre and relationships which develops within it. The play focuses on new arrival, Lotta Bainbridge, who encounters a former antagonist. Despite the best intentions of staff and the elderly residents, a series of random events (and an interfering journalist) cause further agitation.
