This delightful comedy by Bob Larbey, the author of the TV series "As Time Goes By" is directed by Claudette Ridout.
Set in a rest home for the aged, this play revolves around two residents: Cooper (Peter Fry), who has voluntarily left his family to avoid the indignity of depending on them, and his friend Aylott (Tom Rees), who's slowly drifting into senility. While there are strict rules imposed on the residents, Cooper refuses to fall into passivity, flirting constantly with Nurse Wilson (Honey Bourgeois). Both Cooper and Alyott handle the difficulties of growing old and the painful ritual of family visits and empty condescension with dignity, humour and wit.
Supported by an outstanding cast, Mandy Bourgeois as Cooper’s daughter, Julia, Tim Prosser as Peter and Rosemary Longhurst as Mrs Baker, “A Month Of Sundays” will lift the spirits and leave you with a warm feeling that reinforces our humanity.
